Columbine

Columbine is the Colorado State flower and symbol for Spirit. The flowers of various species of Aquilegia were consumed in moderation by Native Americans as a condiment with other fresh greens, and are reported to be very sweet, and safe if consumed in small quantities. The plants seeds and roots are highly poisonous, and contain cardiogenic toxins which cause both severe gastroenteritis and heart palpitations if consumed as food.

Daisy

The most basic of flowers, a white daisy is a symbol of innocence.

Fern

Symbol of Endurance, Defiance against difficulties, Hardiness, Perseverance, independence, and Resourcefulness.

Forget-me-not

A symbol of a plea for remembrance. "Forget me not" are supposed to have been the last words of young man who fell into a river and drowned while picking these flowers for his lover.

Hemp

Japanese purity and fertility are held paramount, and hemp is considered a symbol of both.

Sunflower

As a flower which blindly follows the sun, sunflowers have become a symbol of infatuation or foolish passion.

A pottery coffee mug makes a wonderful gift for family or friends.  We customize mugs with personalized name at no extra charge. All mugs are made by the artist Erick Talboom.
