Erick Talboom is a potter in Thompson Falls, Montana. Erick has been creating stoneware pottery since 1975 where he studied and learned the craft under Rudy Autio at the University of Montana. Most of his handmade stoneware pottery is thrown on a potter's wheel. He uses the best quality porcelain stoneware clay available and all the glazes are his own which he perfected over 25 years. The stoneware pottery is dishwasher safe, nontoxic, oven proof, and can be used in the microwave.
Erick grinds the bottoms of each stoneware pottery piece to assure a great smooth feeling, so tabletops will not get scratched. Each piece is slightly different and you will see and feel creativity!
Erick keeps records on all his customers that buy his beautiful handmade stoneware pottery. Color, style, and size of their stoneware pottery is recorded as a service to the customer. This is also an easy way to collect a complete set of dishes or cookware without a lot of expense. One could purchase one or two pieces each month as a matching set.
